This is the original image of an old photo. As you can see, the photo is black and white, very small in size, blurry, and damaged.
The image below is the result after restoration using IDjpg. The size of the image has been significantly increased, it has been converted to color, and all damaged areas have been fully repaired. The result is perfect.
Old photos like these are difficult to restore with other tools. Here’s a simple guide on how I restored it using IDjpg.
Step 1: Upload the photo to the IDjpg website. The photo must contain only one person, preferably a half-body shot, and the face should be recognizable.
Step 2: Choose the style for the generated image. Here, we selected "Photography Art". This represents the style of the restored result. You can also try other styles.
Step 3: Click on the advanced menu and fill in the "Prompt" field. Describe the image based on the original photo. For example, here we wrote, "An Asian man, 40 years old, portrait, clear face."
That's it! Click the "Generate 2 Images" button. You can also generate more images at once, but it’s better to start with two to check the results first. Then, you can fine-tune the settings gradually.
Sometimes, it’s hard to get a good result in one attempt. Try multiple times if needed.
